Wisconsin Soccer Central

After a perfect season, the McFarland girls soccer team claimed the majority of the honors on the inaugural All-Rock Valley Conference team.

The Spartans, who outscored their seven conference opponents 42-0, had six players on the 13-member first team selected by coaches.

The forward duo of junior Sara Stern and sophomore Jacie Jermier, who each scored more than 30 goals overall this season, led the McFarland contingent.

They were joined by goalkeeper Kristi Frisch, defender Ashley Alonso and midfielders Jenny Ujke and Stephanie Ward — Ujke is a sophomore, the others are seniors.

It was the fourth straight Alonso was named first-team all-conference; her first three years, the Spartans played in the Southern Badger. Evansville senior midfielder Haley Petterson also made the top team, after being a first-team All-Capitol Area choice the previous two years.
