For the second straight weekend, Middleton faces one of the country's top prep boys soccer teams.
Here's a look ahead to this weekend's action featuring Madison's college teams, headlined by the University of Wisconsin men's team opening its home schedule with the Middleton Sports & Fitness Invitational this weekend at the McClimon Complex.
Columbus will have a new girls soccer coach next spring, as C.J. Hansen stepped down after two seasons and is now the boys coach at Schofield D.C. Everest.
The Wisconsin Major League returns to the capital city Sunday as Madison United marks its return to the state's top men's amateur league with a match against Milwaukee Sport Club. Kickoff is 3 p.m. on Field 1 at Warner Park.
Princeton-56ers forward Jed Hohlbein was named to the National Premier Soccer League Midwest Region All-Star team for the fourth consecutive season, continuing his streak of being the only player chosen for the honor squad every year.
